Abstract

Investigating the psychological status, particularly the level of life satisfaction among women, is fundamentally important due to their key role in the family and society. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between positive emotion dysregulation and life satisfaction in women with a secure attachment style. This descriptive and correlational study included all women living in Shiraz, who were selected through convenience sampling. The research tools included the Positive Emotion Dysregulation Scale, the Collins and Reed Attachment Style Questionnaire, and the Life Satisfaction Scale. The data were analyzed using Pearson's correlation coefficient and regression analysis. The results showed that the correlation between life satisfaction and secure attachment style is 0.22, which is significant at the 0.001 level. Additionally, the regression coefficient of life satisfaction predicting secure attachment style is 0.21, significant at the 0.05 level. Furthermore, 47% of the variance in secure attachment style is explained by life satisfaction. By enhancing the conditions that foster secure attachment in childhood, women's life satisfaction in adulthood will increase.
